You're a Good Mom

Every mom needs a little encouragment every now and then.

We, as moms, try so hard to make sure we are providing our children with the very best we can. Yummy meals to keep their bellies full, clean clothes, cozy bedrooms where they can rest their sleepy little heads at night. We all have a flaws, and the things we are really great at. I know, personally, "over strive" sometimes, to the point where I wear myself out. That is not a good thing, my babies need a healthy strong mama, who can push them around on their bikes 500 times in a row, or make 1,000 playdough roads for them to drive their hotwheels on. My little one needs me all hours of the night, when he wakes to nurse.

Moms have huge roles, it is such an important job.

 I saw where someone had shared this on Facebook earlier, and it lifted my spirits, after what has seemed like a very long week {smile}

I am not sure who orignally wrote/posted this so if anyone knows please let me know so I can give them credit.

To the mom who's breastfeeding: Way to go! It really is an amazing gift to give your baby, for any amount of time that you can manage! You're a good mom.

To the mom who's formula feeding: Isn't science amazing? To think there was a time when a baby with a mother who couldn't produce enough would suffer, but now? Bett...
er living through chemistry! You're a good mom.

To the cloth diapering mom: Fluffy bums are the cutest, and so friendly on the bank account. You're a good mom.

To the disposable diapering mom: Damn those things hold a lot, and it's excellent to not worry about leakage and laundry! You're a good mom.

To the mom who stays home: I can imagine it isn't easy doing what you do, but to spend those precious years with your babies must be amazing. You're a good mom.

To the mom who works: It's wonderful that you're sticking to your career, you're a positive role model for your children in so many ways, it's fantastic. You're a good mom.

To the mom who had to feed her kids from the drive thru all week because you're too worn out to cook or go grocery shopping: You're feeding your kids, and hey, I bet they aren't complaining! Sometimes sanity can indeed be found in a red box with a big yellow M on it. You're a good mom.

To the mom who gave her kids a homecooked breakfast lunch and dinner for the past week: Excellent! Good nutrition is important, and they're learning to enjoy healthy foods at an early age, a boon for the rest of their lives. You're a good mom.

To the mom with the kids who are sitting quietly and using their manners in the fancy restaurant: Kudos, it takes a lot to maintain order with children in a place where they can't run around. You're a good mom.

To the mom with the toddler having a meltdown in the cereal aisle: they always seem to pick the most embarrassing places to lose their minds don't they? We've all been through it. You're a good mom.

To the moms who judge other moms for ANY of the above? Glass houses, friend. Glass houses.

Westin Case

I have been a little sick for the past few months, and in a full blown nesting phase. It lasted almost the entire 9 months I was pregnant with our little Westin Case, but now he is here and we are getting back into the swing of things...I am hoping to do a better job about posting our memories along the way, they are not something I want to forget :)

Until then here is our sweet little Case...

I'm still alive!

Hello sweet friends!

Well, we have been on vacation, attending lots of showers, and parties and soaking up each and every last day of the sweet summertime. I always love Summer, but at the same time get really excited for Fall. The crisp air, pumpkins, lovely colored leaves, fresh apple pies....oh I can't wait:)

I am really wanting to start Fall decorating but, am holding myself back...until next week! We have lots of big changes coming up{all good ones...no worries}, one being we have decided to stay in our current home. Well, if someone would like to purchase it by all means be our guest...but we have had some changes in our area, good ones and it is making our home a much much happier place to be{God is so good}. So we are hoping to make some changes in our home, if we're going to be here we might as well enjoy it right:)

So I hope to get back on track and more diligent about my blogging...now that I feel like I have a little more exciting to blog about! So please check back soon, as I hope to share some great upcoming projects!

Warmly,
Tori

The week in instagram + house update

This week has been such a wirlwind of activites. I know I have been a little MIA, but we have been very busy.

Hopefully we will be moving really soon, if it all works out! We finally found a house we would be happy in for a long time, and eventually rebuild. But for now a little farmhouse to restore with 100 acres sounds pretty good to us!

Anyways, here is a little glimspe of what we have been up to this week:

4. Sweet best buddies

5. New table for my shop {Prairie Barn Interiors}

6. Silly boy up way past bedtime

7. Pool time

Update:Summer Bucket List

Hey y'all!

Wow, our Summer had presented itself to already be a little crazy. We have had a whirlwind of activities going on non-stop. We have been having loads of fun along the way!

We are still in search of our next home. We are being super picky, which is making it a little bit harder to find the right one. Hopefully, it will show up soon!

We have also been working on our summer bucket list and have crossed a few fun things off:
We made play dough from this recipe from HowDoesShe? and it was awesome! It made alot and was so much eaiser to work with than regular play dough. Plus, since we got to make our own colors, it was just an added bonus!

Went went to play in the Nottley River, and had a blast. Tubing and a cookout in this Georgia heat were just what summer is all about! I think the boys had the most fun throwing rocks in the water though.

We have been catching lighting bugs almost every night. We even have a jar just for them:)

We also have been doing some fishing! Colt really loves fishing now that he is getting the hang of it!

We are hoping we get to cross a few more things as the week goes on! What have y'all been up to this summer? Any awesome Summer Bucket List ideas you want to share?

Warmly,
Tori
